horsted keynes pre-school

Introduction

Welcome to Horsted Keynes Pre-School.  Our village-based Pre-School is a registered charity and has been established for over 10 years.  We offer qualified, Ofsted approved education and care for children from the term in which they turn 2 ½ years, until they start primary school.

What are our aims?

  • to enhance the development and education of Pre-School children in a parent-involving, village community-based group
  • to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment
  • to work within a framework which ensures equality of opportunity for all children and families.

What do we offer your child?

Well equipped indoor facilities with secure outdoor play area, in a village setting

A loyal, experienced and well-qualified team of staff who provide tailored learning based upon the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum’(EYFS) and its ‘Six Early Learning Goals’

Individual care and attention – we meet Ofsted recommended adult to child ratios, which includes the support of a key worker for each child.

Fun and friendship with children and other adults

Opportunities for you and your family to be directly involved in the activities of the Pre-School and your own child’s progress

Although we have close links with Reception class at St Giles,  we aim to ensure the smooth transition of all children from Pre-School to whichever Primary school they move on to.
